About the job

We have an opportunity for a customer focused and hands-on Mining systems expert to join our Information Technology and Automation Solutions (ITAS) team located at our HQ in Booragoon.

In this consulting role, you will provide systems analysis, design, delivery, and application support to our customers across the Mining value chain from exploration to rehabilitation ensuring that all their computing application needs are achieved. With a key focus on timely execution and delivering maximum benefits to our mining teams and bauxite operations, you will be:
  • Acting as a consultant assisting with numerous projects and programs of work in the selection, development, enhancement, and implementation of applications to deliver on user requirements.
  • Identifying and resolving technical system issues associated within the Mining applications including systems that support with Mining Fleet, Spatial and Resource Management, Production Management, and Reporting and Analytics Platforms.
  • Composing technical documents from the specification of user requirements, to detailed designs, documenting reports for compliance, and supporting the development of project plans.


About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • Working experience in the analysis of computing applications preferably familiarity with Core Mining and MES Applications
  • A good understanding of Mining business processes.
  • Practical knowledge of the following tools/technologies:
    • Two-Tier and Three-Tier Application Architecture
    • Application to Application Integration solutions.
    • Customer Service - ITIL processes.
    • SQL databases and tools.
    • Cloud Services
  • Current WA Driver's License with flexibility to travel across our WA mine sites as required providing opportunity for a hybrid work-from-home approach.
