Engineer (Construction Quality Assurance)

SRK Consulting is an employee-owned, independent, international consulting practice, providing integrated consulting services to the international resource sector.

In addition to market leading consulting services, SRK offers contracts to provide engineers, with a background in geotechnical and/or tailings, for full-time specialist roles within our clients' teams over medium and longer-term contracts.

SRK has contract opportunities requiring engineers with construction quality assurance (CQA), geotechnical and/or tailings skill sets, targeting approximately 5 years of experience. Ideally you will have CQA experience with relevant exposure to projects in the Australian mining industry, either in operations or a similar consultancy role.

Current roles available in the immediate term are with a diversified major mining company at their site in South Australia. The roles are site-based and have durations in the order of 6 to 12 months, with the possibility to extend.

Description of Responsibilities:

The successful candidates will deliver site based CQA services for a buttress and drainage construction project at a polymetallic mine in South Australia as part of SRK's existing professional staffing solutions team. You will actively collaborate with colleagues and client contacts and will be on a FIFO roster. Therefore a degree of flexibility in location is required.

  • Willingness to work from our clients' sites
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams consisting of (but not limited to) geotechnical, mining, geology and environmental consultants with both internal SRK staff and client representatives.
