About the Role

In this newly created role, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Denver, Colorado.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Flexibility is promoted at the Perenti Group; with most of the TA team choosing to work in a hybrid environment that supports working from home (WFH) and allows the opportunity to spend days in the office where you can network, build positive relationships with your stakeholders and foster team engagement.

Key Requirements

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasting and budgeting models to support decision-making
  • Manage and reconcile various accounts, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and taxes
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws, including GAAP and tax laws
  • Provide support for audit activities and assist in the preparation of tax returns
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to financial processes and procedures


Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role
  • CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax laws and regulations
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
