Reporting to the Senior Reliability Engineer, the Reliability Processing Engineer or Engineer-in-Training is responsible for investigating reliability problems and implementing improvements to achieve required processing equipment availability. You will collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams at the processing facility to build upon our reliability strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis on equipment deficiencies, recommend corrective actions and implement these actions as required
  • Identify chronic equipment reliability problems ("bad actors") and develop optimized maintenance strategies to improve reliability
  • Collaborate with condition monitoring technicians and tradespeople to identify equipment health issues and implement appropriate solutions to mitigate unplanned equipment failures
  • Identify and execute projects designed at delivering reliability improvements to the processing facility
  • Coordinate with RACE21™ and other partners to incorporate new technologies in the asset health and maintenance program
  • Work in accordance with applicable government regulations and Teck standards


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Registered, or eligible to register, with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC); Teck will support eligible employees with their EGBC registration
  • Strong analytical, data analysis and mechanical/electrical knowledge
  • Knowledge and experience with Root Cause Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and Reliability Centered Maintenance
  • Demonstrated record of strong organizational and communication skills
