POSITION: Group Principal Advisor Resource and Reserve Reporting
JOB GRADING: E Lower

Role Purpose
The Principal Advisor Resource and Reserve Statements will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on the preparation and reporting of mineral resource and reserve estimates for the Gold Fields Group. The incumbent will ensure that the statements are compliant with international standards and guidelines, and accurately reflect the geology, metallurgy, and economics of Gold Fields global assets. The Principal Advisor Resource and Reserve Statements will work closely with Technical Services Managers, geologists, and other mining technical experts across the Group to review geological data and mining plans and provide advice on the modelling of the mineral deposit.

About the role:
• Provide expert advice and guidance on the preparation and reporting of Group mineral resource and reserve estimates.
• Ensure that the statements are compliant with international standards and guidelines, i.e., SAMREC, SK 1300, JORC (2012), NI 43-101.
• Keep up to date with the latest international reporting codes and standards.
• Conducting Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve reviews associated with multi-disciplinary studies in Technical Audits or Competent Persons Reports levels.
• Undertaking metal accounting reconciliations and grade control sampling strategy reviews.
• Assisting with the auditing of and production of technical-economic models for financial evaluations of projects and/or mining operations.

About you:
• BSc (hon) degree in Geosciences or Mining. Post graduate qualifications or on the job experience in IT/Database valued.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in mineral resource and reserve estimation.
• Strong understanding of international reporting codes and standards, such as the JORC code, the CIM definition standards, and the SME guidelines.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements in the jurisdictions in which the company operates.
• Understanding and focus on mining industry safety issues and controls.
• Attention to detail, numeric memory, ability to work under pressure, at different time zones, with different language skills.
• High level of energy but still methodical and with attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance for R&R processes.
