Downer's Group Head Office has a unique and interesting role for a Transformation Analyst to join the Transformation team to analyse the people impacts of strategic and business-led initiatives and projects to inform transformation planning, delivery and executive decision making.

Based in North Ryde, the role focuses on delivering relevant business insights and identifying impacts to Downer's customers, staff and partners.

Main responsibilities are:
  • Whole data analysis lifecycle, from gathering requirements, business analysis, sourcing and exploring data, data cleansing, data modelling, and reporting and visualisation.
  • Timely and accurate conclusions and commentary on transformation analysis.
    Contribute to the development of efficiency and improvements to Performance Analytics, processes and procedures.
  • Work closely with team members across the business to ensure optimum output of analysis.
    Assist in identifying, analysing, and evaluating current state and potential impacts of change on the business, stakeholders, and customers
  • Conduct change impact assessments to identify impact of proposed changes on stakeholders, processes, systems, and operations and the overall impact of change
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and other key stakeholders to ensure transformation initiatives are aligned with business goals and objectives
  • Monitor and report on the progress of change initiatives, identifying potential issues and risks, as well as recommending treatment strategies
  • Data reporting and analysis - Provide support in the reporting and analysis
ABOUT YOU:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in data analysis and database management
  • Strong proficiency in relevant systems - Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyse complex problems and recommend effective solutions
  • Proven experience contributing to large scale transformation programs
  • Proven ability to gather and document business requirements that provide a solid foundation for an options analysis of appropriate solutions using formal processes.
  • Proven ability in the elicitation of business rules and business process mapping (using BPMN)
  • Proven ability to develop a detailed options analysis for investment consideration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business analyst procedures and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and work across multiple initiatives and varying stakeholder groups.
  • Well-developed communication and change management skills, including the ability to analyse business process models, business requirements, and project reports and provide accurate documentation, clear advice and accurate data as required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development or enhancement of information systems in relation to systems integration, application 'look and feel', development, deployment and maintenance of applications.
