The Mine Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer and works closely with the Geologists teams, and other staff to develop and update mine plans, both long-term and short-term. The successful candidate will execute engineering activities to ensure service and/or operating standards are met. The Mine Engineer will design and develops processes, practices, and methodologies in engineering, lead the execution of the strategy and ensure alignment with the organization's long-term strategy and initiate and undertake projects to optimize performance within engineering and to ensure adherence to industry regulations and organizational standards.

Responsibilities:

•Responsible for pit evaluations, optimization, and designs.

•Provide support to Engineering, Process, Mine Geology, Mine Operations, and Mine Maintenance in development of plans

•Preparation in resource mo deling for use in mine planning.

•Production and operational performance reporting and reconciliation support

•All other duties assigned.

Requirements:

•High School Diploma or GED

•Bachelor's Degree in Mine Engineering

•Basic working knowledge of open pit mine engineering duties and requirements and open pit operations activities

•1-5 years' experience in open pit engineering preferred

•Excellent safety record with ability to demonstrate safety leadership qualities

•Competence with data analytic tools, particularly Vulcan and Leapfrog

•Demonstrate strong computer skills

•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

•Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions of the position
