About the Role:
WorkPac are currently seeking an Accountant for a full time contract with our leading global Resource and Energy Client based within West Perth. This position will start off for 12 months with view for extension. Potential for hybrid model to work in the office and from home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly, quarterly and yearly closing activities for assigned entities in accordance with Group ' policies and procedures
  
• Prepare and posts relevant journals and ensure transactions are properly supported
  
• Ensure balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled and justified
  
• Ensure accounts payables matters are in order such as ensuring proper coding of invoices and allocations of costs
  
• Manage accounts receivable matters such as invoicing, coordination intercompany work orders,
  
• communicating accruals to inter companies
  
• Ensure all intercompany transactions are reconciled and all issues are resolved on a timely basis
  
• Assist preparation of tax estimate, tax computation withholding tax matters
  
• Participate in yearend audit activities
  
• Liaise with internal/external auditors, tax agents and other relevant authorities
  
• Perform the treasury activities and relevant journal postings
  
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties from time to time
  

Experience Required:
Should be an accounting graduate and CPA/CA Qualified or working to get the certification with at least : -

• 1-4 years experience
  
• Good knowledge of MS Office package
  
• Knowledge of SAP accounting package is preferable but not necessary
