Mining Road Services Supervisor

The Company is focused on a sustainable business model associated with the production and sale of copper and gold, delivery of production goals and growth.

In Laos, PanAust owns a 90 per cent interest in the Lao-registered company, Phu Bia Mining. The Government of Laos owns the remaining 10 per cent. Phu Bia Mining owns and operates PanAust Phu Kham Copper-Gold Operation and Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver Operation.

Site-based employees work a roster of 20 days on, 8 days off or 14 days on, 7 days off for shift work, while Vientiane - based employees work 5 days per week with 2 days off.

This position is based at our Phu Kham Copper-Gold Operation. Reporting to the Mining Production Services Superintendent, you will be responsible for the safe and support mining operations as per business requirement and road maintenance to ensure all hauling truck running smoothly and efficiency during wet and dry season and any other required development and technical works to successfully support the functions of other mining sections.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Effective management of Haul roads and earthworks activities in accordance with PBM safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure Road functions and associated operations comply with all relevant statutory, corporate and site standards.
• Ensuring activities achieve the required Roads specification requirements within the required work schedules and budget
• Develop work schedules and ensure works are properly documented and reported on a periodic basis as required.
• Work cooperatively with maintenance, engineering, environmental and consultancy personnel on a regular basis.
• Effective management of partner contractor(s) and PBM equipment for best use of resources.
• Assist in other mining operational and earthwork areas if so required.
• Assist in the recruitment of new employees and promotion for existing employees
• Ensure development and training techniques of Lao workforce to be competent in Safety, Operating and Supervision.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• More than 5 years' experience working in Mining Road Services Design and Mining Industry
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills both in Lao and English
• Proficiency in computer skills
