About the Job

In our Mining service group Upgrades & Retrofits, we will bring sustainable technologies and services to existing equipment installations to extent operating life, improve performance and/or efficiency. Our goal is getting true value of our customer assets.

As the Director of Exchange programs, you will be responsible for the management of the global Exchange programs business including the global OI, Revenue, and EBITA profit and loss.

The successful incumbent would have the opportunity to lead an international team and join a growing business. This role would be based in Copenhagen or Salt Lake City, or an alternative location could be discussed at the time of appointment.

Your responsibilities
  • Operating and growing the global business for exchange programs in volume and profitability, planning.
  • Work with the Service centers, Product line management, Region sales and RPLM organizations to establish strategies and plans for profitable growth in sales and execution capabilities.
  • Perform market research to determine customer needs, monitor market trends, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Identify right business models for "in-house" or "in-field" exchange programs, thoroughly considering technology, product, service center capabilities, customer acceptable price levels vs. profitability, contract periods, storage/ workshop at customer's site, transport route, reverse logistics, tools, supply chain, scrap yards contract constellations etc to meet the Customer needs.
  • Setting the framework for the Exchange Programs contracts, T&C's, etc. together with commercial operations and legal, maximizing the profitability at minimum contract risk
  • Collaborate with Marketing, other service business lines, regional sales and RPLM to develop value propositions, case studies and go to market strategies for exchange program portfolio to enable value selling.
  • Establish, maintain and enforce global pricing strategies.
  • Maximize margin while achieving top line OI.
  • Manage the effective operation of the Industry Sales Support (ISS), Industry Order Desk (IOD) function within exchange programme business.
  • Lead exchange programme team accordance with corporate leadership values, instilling a culture of accountability, ongoing development, and ensuring employee engagement.

What you bring
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or another relevant field or equivalent work
  • Experience in setting up and developing a globally acting business in a mining or construction service related fields.
  • Experience in setting up and negotiating long-term contracts with customers.
  • You have a strong drive for making a difference, a high level of energy as well as strong integrity.
  • You have excellent Communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to lead in change environments and the ability to lead through influence.
