About the role
Available roster's are either a 7 / 7 (3 days, 4 nights or 4 days 3 nights) 5.30am - 5.30pm
Or a 8 / 6 roster 4 days 4 nights ( 1 day in the workshop)
Hrly rate from $52 + OT from $78 +
Field Service Plant Mechanic - Drills
We are currently looking for an experienced Drill Technician to join our Field Service team in the Gunnedah basin. This positions will be responsible for looking after a drill fleet of MD6250 CAT drills.

Field Service Plant Mechanic - Drills

Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and make recommendations to improve fleet performance
- Diagnosis, repairs and maintenance on the fleet
- Repairs and maintenance on machine electrical systems
- Offer technical support for the Caterpillar fleet
- Offer mechanical support to WesTrac and customer technicians
- Undertake workshop and field based - machine service or repair as instructed by the customer
Skills & Experience
- CERT III Heavy Vehicle / Mobile Plant Qualification
- Post-trade experience in a similar role including on mine sites
- Experience with surface mine drills
- Caterpillar/Bucyrus product knowledge and maintenance experience
- Strong communication skills and dedication to safe work practices
- Excellent diagnostic and repair skills and a strong commitment to service excellence
