Who we're looking for.

Reporting into the Manager of Business Support, this position is responsible leading the Finance and Business Improvement team to deliver insights on key levers within Telfer's value chain that enable decisions which will increase the value of Telfer.

This is a Perth office-based role with some travel requirements.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Translating the Plan on a Page into day-to-day activities for the Finance and Business team and drive personal ownership.
  • Supporting the Safety Management System ensuring a safety-first work culture
  • Driving commercial and financial analysis for performance management, continuous improvement and transformational activities
  • Developing and supporting the Finance and Business Improvement team to continuously drive the operational and financial improvements through the EDGE program.
  • Implementing robust financial governance and in full on time financial reporting

To succeed in this role, you will be safety focused, self-motivated and have strong self and team management skills. You will have experience with delivering to high standards, instigating business improvements, driving a team that provides outcomes-oriented insights and fostering cross functional collaboration.

We are looking for a strong communicator and influencer and someone who is familiar with working in a highly collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on innovation, best practice and leadership.

You'll have a relevant degree qualification (or highly experienced) in Finance. Ideally, you will also have the following:
  • Demonstrate leadership with the highest professional and ethical standards
  • Show absolute commitment and leadership in providing a safe working environment
  • Demonstrate ability to drive improvements
  • Understand value chains and their key levers
  • Deliver high standards of financial governance
  • Previous exposure to mining will be highly desirable
