The Opportunity:
Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking a Metallurgical Co-op Student (May-August 2023) at our Snow Lake, MB Operations.
This position is a 5 and 2 schedule, 8 hours each day.
The individual would be responsible to continuously improve performance through effective use of established systems and processes in achieving assigned objectives for technical/metallurgy support in achieving planned Mill output.
The atmosphere is fast paced, dynamic and is built on trust. Leadership is focused on the individual, providing mentoring and coaching to facilitate employees reaching their full potential.
Responsibilities:

1. Conduct metallurgy projects to support the operation optimization of Snow Lake Mills
2. Perform lab tests and plant trials for assigned projects
3. Do other assigned tasks including routine testwork and operation support.

Professional Experience / Qualifications:

• University/College students (2nd year and above) in engineering/science programs related to chemistry, metallurgy or mineral processing
• Basic knowledge of metallurgy and mineral processing
• Some experience in lab test work
