The Roles

We are creating a new team for the life of this project; we are seeking enthusiastic, adaptable candidates to fill a Finance Business Partner and Project Accountant roles. Based in the Milton office, the role will have work from home options after the initial stages in addition to some travel to Ormeau and Maryborough to visit site. The team is in the early stages of creation and led by a passionate, personable Commercial Finance General Manager, who does not micro-manage.

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse, and present operational monthly financial reports
• Develop and implement management reporting, in consultation with the Leadership Team
• Reporting to track and monitor the project budget
• Variance analysis for any budget / forecast and provide solutions for any discrepancies
• Finance Business Partner:
• Analyse and interpret financial reports and data prepared by the Project Accountants, for the Commercial Finance GM's use.
• Management of 3 Project Accountants, with 1 other Finance BP

About You

• Full working rights in Australia
• Strong stakeholder experience in a Finance Business Partner / Project Accounting / Project Manager (with high accounting involvement) role
• Business Partner: experience managing staff
• Accounting qualifications are highly regarded, however not essential for Project Accountant role if you hold strong experience and ability to perform required tasks
• Experience interacting with management & project managers (in the construction industry: highly regarded)
• Ability to provide full accounting support over the lifecycle of multiple, high value projects
• Advanced Excel skills: report development and management
• Pivot tables, V-look up's (macros & Power BI advantageous)
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a changing environment is essential, due to the nature of team and project set up
