Position Overview

We are adding an Income Tax Accountant to our Corporate Tax department. If you have two years of income tax experience, or two years of broad financial accounting/tax background, this is a great opportunity for you to work with a highly experienced team to learn all the ropes for Corporate Income Tax. While in this role, you will expand your knowledge in both domestic and international corporate tax filings, and deepen your understanding of Tax Legislation for a large corporation working across all of North America. This team is responsible for tax research and planning, executing state and federal income tax, Canada Tax, transaction tax (sales & use, VAT, GST) property tax, transfer pricing between countries, audits and tax incentives. Location

This position is based at our Headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. (This is not a remote work opportunity).

Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of U.S. federal domestic and international tax filings (Forms 1065, 1120, 1118, 5471, 8858, and 8865)
• Preparation and review of Canadian federal and provincial income tax returns. (We provide training if you have not worked on Canadian tax returns).
• Computation of estimated tax payments
• Monitor tax legislation
• Assist with income tax audits and Research, analyze and solve tax issues
• Complete other projects/tasks as needed within the department

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
• 0-3 years of Accounting experience. Experience in Tax analysis, Income tax preparation or experience preparing calculations for state income taxes preferred. *May also consider new Accounting grads with tax internship experience
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong analysis, problem solving skills required. Strong organizational skills, and able to demonstrate detail orientation
• Strong computer skills required. Must have experience using Microsoft Office Suite, and accounting/tax related software.
• Willing and able to put in the time required to meet deadlines
• Able to work independently, and as part of a team
• Some travel may be required
