The company is one of South America's largest producing gold mines and includes the Rosebel and the Saramacca mining areas. Among these, Rosebel is the main mining area. The Saramacca mining area is about 25 kilometers southwest of the Rosebel processing plant.

Warehouse Trainer

The Warehouse Trainer assesses equipment training requirements for the warehouse and develops approaches to ensure capabilities are in place.

What You’ll Do

Conduct training needs analysis and provide individual training:

• Identify training needs or gaps.
• Determine source of gap and appropriate method to close gap.
• Deliver internal and external training.
• Oversee experienced employees who are providing additional training

Prepare and/or purchase necessary training modules as per legislation and company requirements:

• Conduct research to determine appropriate sources.
• Purchase training modules
• Prepare internal material and tests for individual training modules and needs.
• Have training material reviewed by peers and supervisors prior to use.

Maintain training records and files:

• Ensure all files are complete according to Labour standards.
• Ensure all employees have been properly signed off for equipment they are operating.
• Ensure all training records are put in employee training files.
• Work with the Safety team and other mine departments to create training procedures to be used in the mining department.

Conduct job observations and follow-up training:

• Perform job observations on all employees in the mine to determine if follow-up training is necessary.
• Provide and/or organize follow-up training for employees.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or relevant technical diploma or certification.
• “Train the Trainer” accreditation.
• Heavy machinery licenses for all machinery used in training.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a mine production environment.

Working Conditions

Works at project mine sites of Rosebel Gold Mines on a schedule of 14 days of work at 12 hours per day followed by 7 days break.

Wears personal protective equipment including steel-toed boots, long-sleeved shirts, or any other equipment to perform duties safely as required by the Health Safety and Sustainability Policy.
