HME Maintenance Superintendent

Our client, a large and growing gold producer with assets spread across the globe, is currently seeking a HME Maintenance Superintendent to join a growing and diverse team. The position offers a generous FIFO, secure site conditions and a competitive salary. They are looking for a strategic leader who can implement new asset management concepts and provide technical support to a developing team.

Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Manager, main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Enhancing current systems to ensure high-quality fleet repairs.
• Conducting regular fleet analysis to safely reduce repair times, improve cost efficiency, and adjust strategies to enhance performance.
• Developing and implementing short and long-term strategies to optimise equipment usage and meet equipment targets.
• Strengthening the front line to improve company standards and streamline processes.
• Setting clear performance targets for individuals to promote motivation and engagement across the workforce.
• Regularly coaching and communicating with team members to clarify their roles and performance expectations.
• Taking an active role as a safety leader, refining safety protocols, and promoting best practices.
• Liaising across functions to regularly analyse maintenance strategies and provide technical support on how to improve the process.
• Developing systems and processes to ensure quality repairs are being done and encourage team members to speak up to get the most value out of the fleet.
• Understanding industry best practices and challenging OEMs to improve equipment performance.
• Providing technical recommendations on equipment purchases with the correct specifications.

The successful candidate will hold a diploma or a degree in a relevant discipline (mobile maintenance, HME or mechanical engineering). The incumbent will have international experience in HME and a minimum of 8 years’ experience in operational/workshop roles. They must be a progressive thinker and able to adapt to new systems whilst sustaining a positive work environment.
