Vox Royalty Corp. (“Vox” or the “Company”, NASDAQ: VOXR, TSXV:VOX) is a returns focused mining royalty company with a portfolio of over 60 royalties and streams spanning eight jurisdictions (Australia, Canada, United States, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Nigeria and South Africa). The Company was established in 2014 and has since built unique intellectual property, a technically focused transactional team and a global sourcing network that has allowed Vox to target the highest returns on royalty acquisitions in the mining royalty sector. Since the beginning of 2020, Vox has announced over 25 separate transactions to acquire over 50 royalties.

Vox is seeking an experienced mining engineer or geologist to join its team full-time as Senior Manager, Corporate Development & Investor Relations. The Senior Manager, Corporate Development & Investor Relations plays an important role in providing overall technical evaluation and deal leadership of potential royalty acquisitions and leading capital markets investor relations initiatives. The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic about stepping into a leadership role, have a strong understanding of underground and open pit mining in a global setting, prior experience engaging with capital markets participants and fluent in the connectivity of technical inputs through to cash flow analysis. This position would initially report to the Chief Investment Officer.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and/or coordinate technical due diligence reviews for royalty asset acquisition and M&A opportunities: A) Review detailed technical geology and mining engineering assumptions; B) Gauge the overall asset for its ability to support safe, sustainable and profitable mining operations; C) Assess for suitability to the Company’s long-term strategy of the portfolio;
  • Support investor outreach and engagement at industry conferences, ad-hoc roadshows, webinars, social media campaigns and related capital markets initiatives;
  • Collaborate and prepare a range of financial analysis (desktop level to detailed models);
  • Provide on-going optimization to the overall valuation and business development process;
  • Own the Vox corporate valuation model with regular updates for organic developments and new asset acquisitions;
  • Act as Deal Lead on royalty acquisition deals from initial opportunity origination, to desktop due diligence, to negotiations, confirmatory due diligence and deal completion (with support from Vox’s in-house technical, commercial, legal, tax and accounting personnel);
  • Perform site visits where required; A) determine, evaluate and inquire from discussions with site personnel on the validity of technical inputs used in valuations; B) Identify any potential risks that could impact safe and sustainable operations; C) Provide technical expertise to our existing operating partners that may improve the overall operations;
  • Work alongside Vox’s CFO and Legal Counsel on regular TSXV/NASDAQ quarterly and annual reporting, investor engagement, improvement initiatives and ad-hoc projects;
  • Prepare timely presentations and analysis for Senior Management, the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee;
  • Delegating, directing and coaching Vox’s Analyst to be successful in their role; and
  • Support expansion and optimisation of the Vox global royalty database & investor database.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Comfortable with hybrid work environment, this position would be required to work in Toronto occasionally as needed / at management’s discretion;
  • Ability to travel as required to support necessary site visits; and
  • Willingness to work evenings or weekends, as needed, to accommodate different time zones and deadlines.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • 5 - 10 years of relevant practical experience in both underground and open pit mining required, preferably in a global mining setting;
  • Previous experience as a P. Eng. or Qualified Person (QP) as defined under NI 43-101 (or JORC equivalent) would be an asset, but not a requirement;
  • Firm understanding of both open pit and underground mining, planning, and operations required, including but not limited to, mining methods, estimating mining and process production rates, and deriving capital & operating costs from first principals;
  • Familiar with the ESG industry best practices;
  • Expertise in all levels of mine studies and metalliferous commodities required;
  • Bachelors and/or Masters in Mining Engineering or Geology related degree required;
  • Proficient in MS Office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence;
