Your Role:

Downer's Corporate Services is seeking a Treasury Analyst - Operations on a full-time permanent basis, based in our North Ryde, Sydney office.

Reporting to the Treasury Manager - Operations, your role will actively contribute to the achievement of Group Finance objectives and act as a key business partner, supporting Group Treasury and the Group Finance team in relation to Treasury operations.

The Treasury Analyst is responsible for.
  • Assist in overall Group Treasury operations in terms of processing, confirmations, and settlements, with a primary focus on the management of performance bonds including issuance, reporting, fees, and ultimate return.
  • Providing performance bond advice to key internal stakeholders and liaising with issuing counterparties
  • Prepare and reconcile fees for performance bonds, being both internal recharges and external payments.
  • Support the month-end accounting process and assist with preparation of Treasury weekly, monthly and year-end reporting requirements.
  • General Administration of Bank accounts, SSI's, Authorised Signatories and Dealers on an ad hoc basis.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of interest and debt budget/forecast

About You:
  • Tertiary level qualification in Accounting or Commerce
  • 5 years' experience in a Treasury / financial accounting role with experience in: settlements, reconciliations, reporting, month-end reporting, bank guarantees, loan administration, FX and Derivative settlements.
  • Understanding of financial markets and financial instruments including bank debt, capital markets and interest rate derivatives
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills (V Look-up, Pivot tables)
  • PERSONAL CHARACTERISITICS: Stakeholder partnering skills, attention to detail, strong numeracy skills ability to work under pressure and to timelines
  • Knowledge of IFRS and AASB accounting standards covering financial instruments (beneficial, however not essential)
  • Knowledge of GTreasury or equivalent Treasury Management System & / OneStream (advantageous)
