Your Role:

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager (Working Capital), this role will be placed in our Group Corporate team which oversees the consolidation of business groups. This role will develop and implement effective cash management processes, actively drive accountability through working capital analysis and support Downer Group in the improvement of performance and efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily delivery of cash forecasting and insight on cash management
• Attend weekly cash calls to identify and actively management risks and opportunities within forecasts to achieve favourable outcomes
• Partner with BU to provide insight, analytics and support strategic decision making to improve cash performance
• Forecasting and review of AP, AR, payroll and transaction teams
• Assist with the co-ordination of the cash and working capital management process across all business units to ensure compliance with Downer standards
• Responsible for daily updating of 12 week rolling cash forecast for Treasury and ensure robust compliance to liquidity requirements
• Ownership of business improvement initiatives and integration of Downer Standard

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have or demonstrate

• 4+ years' experience in accounting, treasury or business analysis within a medium or large commercial firm or accounting practice
• Tertiary qualifications in accounting, and CA / CPA qualified (or currently completing)
• Strong understanding of the importance of cash and working capital management to an organisation
• Proficient in preparing reconciliations with a strong understanding of accounting journal transactions, concepts and reporting
• Ability to collect, distil, analyse and interpret large quantities of transactional and balance data to provide insight
• Excellent communication skills with proven success in senior management stakeholder relationship building
• Experience in business process improvement, integration and implementation
• Experience with a large ERP - preference for SAP
• Advanced financial modelling and MS Office Excel skills (V Look-up and Pivot tables)
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail, self-motivated, takes initiative and accountability for deliverables and able to meet tight deadlines
