The Saramacca mining area is about 25 kilometers southwest of the Rosebel processing plant.

 

HR Advisor – Total Rewards, HRIS & Analytics

The HR Advisor - Total Rewards, HRIS & Analytics support the development, implementation, improvement, and administration of sound compensation & benefits policies, programs, and procedures.

What You’ll Do

Work with the functional Team Lead and HR Manager to develop and deliver compensation & benefits programs and services.

  • Assist with the design, communication, and implementation of RGM compensation and benefits programs. Conduct and participate in relevant compensation and benefits surveys. Research and analyze salary and benefits practices offered by the market and the competition. Develop a local professional network to share information. Coordinate projects utilizing effective project management tools. Maintain and/or develop job descriptions and ensure appropriate job families and levels within the classification system. Manage the annual compensation review process for nationals. Educate and advise supervisors on pay administration.

Manages the day-to-day coordination and administration of the company group benefits and pension plan.

  • Interface with carriers, providers, brokers, and third-party administrators to develop and maintain benefit plans. Assure company compliance with relevant legislation and procedural requirements. Implement new plans and coordinate annual enrollment including employee communication. Ensure that plan eligibility and administration are managed consistently and equitably. Execute new and amended benefit documentation including plan documents, summaries, agreements, and insurance contracts. Ensure that benefit inquiries and complaints are resolved in a quick, equitable, and courteous fashion. Review payments and monthly reconciliations of the company's monthly benefits billings from outside vendors.

Manage Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and HR Analytics.

  • Act as local super user of HRIS ensuring data integrity. Develop and maintain all HR performance metrics and analytics. Support the development and maintenance of the HR budget.

Minimum Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field. Formal training/courses in Compensation & Benefits or related field. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including analysis and administration of compensation and benefits programs. Experience in forecasting and budgeting. Strong mathematical aptitude and analysis skills for researching, analyzing, and developing compensation-related programs and recommendations. Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, charts, and formulas. Knowledge of compensation design, funding, administration, financing, and reporting. Advanced organization, planning, and project management skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English.

Working Conditions

  • Works at project mine sites of Rosebel Gold Mines on a schedule of 6 weeks on/ 3 weeks off. Wears personal protective equipment including steel-toed boots, long-sleeved shirts, or any other equipment to perform duties safely as required by the Health Safety and Sustainability Policy.
