This position provides the resources necessary to oversee the daily operation of maintenance programs for the Underground (UG) Mines; The Superintendent will provide a go-to point for all equipment issues for maintenance and operations management relative to the Utility and Auxiliary fleets.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Form an integrated team between PTFI, Trakindo and Sandvik that will ensure all groups are focused on the equipment performance of all UG Utility and Auxiliary fleet, following PTFI's interests.

2. Handle and track all warranty issues for fleet of new concrete and support equipment to be utilized in all the UG Mines. Liaise with Materials department.

3. Inspect and track all equipment and component repairs to ensure cost effective methods are being used.

4. Develop company inspection methods, in conjunction with supplier's inspection methods, to ensure quality workmanship is being applied in all applications.

5. Liaise with management in Underground Maintenance and Operations concerning technical, scheduling and cost issues, including availability and utilization for all UG Utility and Auxiliary fleets.

6. Implement and enforce PTFI Safety / NOSA standards.

7. Develop agreed upon procedures for the re-use of parts within components to lower costs.

8. Assist in the formal component tracking systems for PTFI operation.

9. Keep formal records of issues and address recurring problems.

10. Be an advisor for the underground utility and support equipment fleet providing assistance and knowledge in developing and implementing world class maintenance strategies and procedures.

11. Assist the General Foreman, Foreman and all Non-staff Mechanics with technical issues and maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

• Trade Certification or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in equipment maintenance with formal training from OEM's.
• Training in failure analysis, component rebuilds and conflict resolution.
• At least eight (8) years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a role that extends past basic maintenance concepts.
• Advanced experience in Failure Analysis.
• Advanced experience in Tribology.
• Advanced experience in Equipment Maintenance.
• Advanced experience in PDM plans and process.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Concern for safety and environment.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a culturally diversified workforce.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working experience with Jacon Maxijets.
• Working experience with Normet Spraymec and utility equipment.
• Working experience with Getman utility equipment.
