About South32

South32 is a globally diversified mining and metals company. Our purpose is to make a difference by developing natural resources, improving people's lives now and for generations to come. We are trusted by our owners and partners to realize the potential of their resources. We produce bauxite, alumina, aluminium, metallurgical coal, manganese, nickel, silver, lead and zinc at our operations in Australia, Southern Africa and South America. With a focus on growing our base metals exposure, we also have two development options in North America and several partnerships with junior explorers around the world.

Following the acquisition of Arizona Mining in 2018, South32 is the owner of the Hermosa Project, a high-grade manganese, zinc, lead and silver development option in southern Arizona that is the only project under development for the supply of two US designated critical minerals (manganese and zinc). Hermosa also became the first mining project accepted by the US government into the FAST-41 process, a tool for progressing critical US infrastructure projects, in May 2023. Additional information can be found at www.south32hermosa.com.
