Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Component Technician (Trade Assistant) will be working alongside our Tradespeople to assist with maintenance and minor repairs of small industrial diesel engines. This will include the usage of and not limited to forklift, hoist and overhead crane equipment to move and transport components of the small engine. The successful candidate will be keeping the engine bays clean and tidy for themselves and other workers. This role does include hands on work of the small engine in assistance to the Tradesperson.

Location: South Guildford

Roster: Mon-Fri, 2 weeks dayshift, 2 weeks nightshift, 10H per shift, 1 Saturday per 4 week rotation (Overtime rates apply)

To be successful the following is required:

• Proven experience of Trade Assistant work within a mechanical setting is essential
• Forklift License is essential with Dogging highly desired or willing to obtain
• Experience with on engines is highly desirable
• Good attitude with a strong work ethic
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Previous use of safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's will guide you to success in this role
