Wood is currently seeking a Lead Document Controller to join our Perth team in our Minerals & Metals division as it heads towards an exciting growth phase.

The Role

As Lead Document Controller, you will join our Project Services team within our M&M division, reporting to the Document Control Manager where you will work amongst a collaborative, people-driven team based in Perth.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining project-specific procedures, work instructions, forms, and workflow diagrams, ensuring all technical documentation associated with the assigned project scope maintains Wood standards, and driving best practise with stakeholders.

You will have the opportunity to ensure that all project personnel are appropriately trained in the document control processes and document management system and that they have appropriate permissions and access rights.

This role will see you work across a wide range of projects, interfacing and collaborating with multiple designated Project Managers and project teams, where you will guide best practice requirements, for both Wood and our client requirements.

This opportunity is looking for a suitably experienced Document Controller from a project-based environment, ideally within the resources sector.

This opportunity is looking for those who enjoy the fast-paced, agile working environment, that the resources sector brings, driving best practice document control, and supporting some of the world's most progressive developments.

In addition, but not limited to.
  • Prior experience in a resources-based project environment, ideally EPCM/EPC or construction within a document control capacity
  • Ability to build effective relations with multiple stakeholders locally & internationally
  • Prior experience working with Business Management Systems, particularly with SharePoint
  • Understanding of working across multiple project scopes, partnering with key stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with ISO standards, would be desirable but not essential
