Advisian is a leading provider of Environment and Society (E&S) services in the US. The US E&S Service Line is a vibrant and growing team covering: Environmental Science (including marine, atmospherics, terrestrial, and aquatics); Society & Engagement; Planning, Permits & Approvals; and Sustainability & Compliance. We provide a full range of environmental services with a strong reputation for technical excellence, innovation and quality of work within small project consulting and strategic advisory assignments through to large project engineering and construction management delivery.

We have an exciting new opportunity for an exceptional candidate to be part of the US Environment and Society E&S team to help serve our clients in the US West region. You will have responsibilities for technical excellence and client relationships, with a particular focus on our energy client service line, working closely with the larger Worley organization. You would also support business development activities, working with senior leaders of the E&S team, by identifying clients and opportunities, and building client networks.

Our current emphasis is on permitting and compliance for up-, mid- and downstream activities and chemicals, as well as the energy transition (such as biofuels, green hydrogen, carbon management and renewable power). Air quality permitting is part of the role. You may also support our initiatives in other regions of the US and elsewhere.

This new and exciting opportunity will report to the Lead - Environment & Society, USA.

Primary Objectives and Accountabilities of the Role
  • Support Advisian's work for energy clients and our strategic initiatives in energy transition by providing on-the-ground regulatory and environmental engineering advice and leadership.
  • Interact with the broader Worley Group team to provide comprehensive environmental, engineering and operational support to energy clients including LNG, pipelines, refining and chemicals.
  • Air quality and engineering-led permitting services such as stormwater and SPCC planning.
  • Identify new opportunities and support proposal preparation and client development.
  • Be a point person for Advisian E&S projects and opportunities in the US West region


Essential Qualifications and Skills
  1. Bachelors in engineering, environmental science, environmental planning, or equivalent; Advanced degree(s) preferred in a relevant subject area
  2. 10+ years of professional experience, preferably with an environmental consulting organization, an operator, contractor or regulator
  3. Demonstrated commitment to HSE leadership
  4. Expert knowledge in the environmental and regulatory issues associated with energy development and operation in US West; air quality expertise a plus
  5. A working understanding of the regulatory and governmental community (such as FERC, USEPA, USACE, state and local agencies) and industry
  6. Excellent client and agency interfacing skills
  7. Track record of successful management of projects / work packages to meet agreed budget and schedule
  8. Technical reporting prowess
  9. Preparation of proposals, budget estimates and schedules for projects / work packages
