Hatch, a full-service consultancy, is currently seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineering Technologist to join our dynamic Rail Infrastructure team located in Mississauga, ON where we have a growing team.

Hatch's team of professionals provides cost-effective and innovative engineering solutions for the North American and Global rail industry with unprecedented success. We have earned an outstanding reputation with our clients as we offer a full range of services to handle any size project - from a small improvement initiative to a major multi-billion-dollar expansion program. Hatch has planned, designed, and managed some of the most visible rail projects in North America and worldwide.

As the successful candidate, you will:
  • Assist with designing track and railway infrastructure in accordance with the quality objectives, regulations, laws and standards.
  • Assist with preparation of detailed design drawings for Rail engineering infrastructure projects.
  • Support preparation of specifications, quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
  • Coordination with other disciplines involved on the projects.
  • Provide support to Senior Engineers and Designers as and when needed.


You bring to the role:
  • Hold a Civil Technologist Diploma/Degree from an accredited University/College.
  • In good academic standing.
  • Extracurricular involvement; enthusiastic and ambitious.
  • Experience with CADD (MicroStation and/or Inroads and AutoCAD Civil 3D), AutoTURN (would be an asset), Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook).
  • Self-motivated with good organizational capability.
