Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting Systems, the Lead is the key finance representative in the sustainment of a company-wide Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system. The Lead is a vital link between the finance function and the information systems function in the proper development, deployment, usage, and maintenance of the company wide EPM system.

The individual in this position is responsible for the ongoing support and optimization of the company's EPM system and processes that impacts internal and external financial information which includes developing reports and managing system configuration and administration. Additional accountabilities include identifying issues, supporting business processes, including coordination of Finance and IT resources to analyze specific needs and resolve issues involving various Finance modules.

Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Assist and support continuous improvement initiatives from a Finance perspective once systems are deployed
  • Assist in leading sustainment activities such as, configuring the system for master data changes related to administration of new processes including accounting and management reporting
  • Build management reports and sustaining or modifying existing reports as the business requires
  • Cooperate with and build positive relationships with business stakeholders, system users, and EPM support team to provide guidance on system configuration and support for systems training across all relevant business groups
  • Provide system or process expertise on complex matters that relate to Finance activities
  • Prepare/build reports as requested by end users to fulfill requirements using the native report writer and Excel
  • Assist with any business support issues as they arise in a timely manner
  • Resolve issues and problems related to the platform and advance to appropriate support teams as the need arises
  • Provide support to various user groups to transfer knowledge and expertise
  • Maintain documentation for the maintenance, implementation and communication of business processes and training materials for any updates in business processes
  • Deliver training sessions to end users on a periodic basis
  • Validate regression testing required for periodic application updates and releases
  • Support and review security permissions within the system to ensure adequate segregation of duties for SoX purposes


Qualifications

  • Advanced experience with CPM/EPM systems is required, preferably Onestream, as well as outstanding Excel knowledge
  • Familiar with financial consolidation and FPA systems is an asset
  • CPA designation with a minimum of 5 years of post-designation experience is preferred
  • Good business sense and solid understanding of digitized end to end Finance processes as well as familiarity with transactional best practices
  • Able to analyze , evaluate and resolve problems as they arise
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to convey sophisticated concepts and trade-offs
  • Outstanding organization skills and ability to prioritize work to meet tight deadlines
  • Previous project management experience is an asset
  • Experience and understanding of full cycle accounting, financial statement preparation and consolidation
  • Understanding of business process improvement, internal controls and SoX processes
  • Experience in the Information Systems groups is an asset
