The Role

Mining Plus's Principal Mining Consultants provide premium consulting services to our clients. By applying your extensive operational mining engineering experience, you will provide recommendations toMining Plusclients and projects across a variety of commodities. Our international team of technical experts work on projects around the world, giving you the opportunity to collaborate with the best.

We will need a suitably qualified professional, with extensive industry experience, who will assist in growing our business and our people into the future.

As a recognized expert in your field who has built a reputation for excellence, you will feel equally comfortable working with clients, partners, and mentoring junior team members in our team.

Core Functions:

• Provide ongoing technical oversight and engagement in mining studies (Scoping, Pre-feasibility & Feasibility)
• Conduct mine asset due diligence and evaluations
• Conduct mine planning, optimization projects, and mine economic modelling
• Lead Mine Design and planning activities, including management of partner groups and sub-contractors
• Write and review technical engineering Reports (JORC, NI 43-101 or equivalent)
• Lead the mining engineering team projects requiring technical solutions within our 'Define-Plan-Operate' pillars
• Oversight of technical quality, and delivery of projects including design, review, and project management according to client-approved scopes of work
• Be a champion for practical mining solutions for projects and operations, leveraging our existing foundation of global best practices (fit for project)
• Actively leverage and advocate for industry-leading technology and support implementation engagements (collaboration with our partner groups)
• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, working with professionals to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget
• Actively mentor and develop team members, in the interests of their long-term career objectives and operational needs

Key Requirements:

• 10 +years' experience within the industry across a broad range of roles/sites
• You have a Mining Engineering bachelor's degree
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are legally entitled
  to live and work in Australia
• You are competent in some or all of Mining Software, such as Geovia, Datamine
  and/or Deswik mining software packages
• You have Fellow/ Chartered Professional of professional Affiliations and are
  authorised to sign off in accordance with JORC/NI 43-101/SAMREC etc for multiple
  commodities/styles
• You can conceive and complete work independently
• Excellent workplace safety practices (advocate for global best practices)
• Ability to train and mentor other employees and the Technical Team
• You have high impact business influence with the desire to lead business development activities
• You can effectively peer review and manage work at an expert level
• You have an effective client management style and can lead client interactions
  within projects
• You have great time management and can demonstrate strategic thinking
• Project management of large global projects/ teams
• Ability to generate chargeable work
