About this role

Are you looking for an opportunity to be a critical member of our HR team that uses data to help support the development and delivery of the human capital strategy by providing reporting, tools and insights!
Are you passionate about supporting financial modeling and collaborating with the business leaders to global headcount plans and labor budgets?
Role will provide business insights and enable global governance through regular headcount reporting and dashboard maintenance
Role will partner with distributed team to collect human capital data and establish data integrity. As a member of the global HR team, role will support continuous improvement initiatives on reporting, data collection and human capital analytics
Team member will work closely with data, maintaining reporting data sources and collecting requirements from HR partners to translate business needs into clear requirements and direction for data and reporting!

Your role will consist of

  • Provide HR reporting support including research, analysis of business requests, problem solving, issue tracking, and resolution
  • Maintain human capital reporting databases collected from global teams for enterprise consolidation
  • Collect and report global data from different systems, providing meaningful trend and analysis
  • Creation of forecasting models and predictive analytics capabilities
  • Utilize data visualization tools to communicate HR data
  • Works within the HRIS applications (primarily SAP) and financial applications (BPC) to help research and resolve missing information or data errors within systems
  • Finds opportunities to automate / streamline reports, and redesign reports to include these efficiencies.
  • Produces reports and ad-hoc data requests at regular intervals using tools such as Excel, Tableau or equivalent
  • Develops scorecards for various departments, dashboards, and reports that effectively depict information in a concise and meaningful manner
  • Manage confidentiality of data by following established security/confidentiality standards
  • Take ownership of and ensure integrity of HRIS data through development of audit reports; troubleshoot irregularities; partner with HRIS team to research, correct discrepancies, and lead compliance
  • Increased Proficiency and Reduced Management and Oversight
    • Operates as a subject matter expert to the HR organization
    • Provides insights into HR data to highlight issues and inform strategy

Your training, skills, and experience checklist

  • Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics or Computer Science
  • MBA studies and Post graduate or similar experience is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant HR reporting, Workforce planning or financial planning and analytics.
  • Mining, construction, utilities or other heavy proven experience is is a plus.
  • Demonstrated solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience communicating the results of analyses
  • Foundation in data analytics principles and methodologies
  • Solid attention to details and deadlines with a high commitment to accuracy
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Programming experience in R, SAS, SPSS, Python or equivalent is preferred
  • Adaptable collaborating and facilitation skills with strong network and team influence.
  • Time management and prioritization skill
  • Equal parts strategic problem solver and operationally excellent - creates the vision and operationalize it
  • Ability to balance out compliance and efficiency with a seamless employee experience and simple processes and design


Working conditions and locations

  • The position is located in Denver
  • Working in our expansive environment, telephone calls or other meetings may take place before and/or after normal local business hours to accommodate other regions' work schedules and priorities.

The salary range offered for this role is $93,585 - 115,605. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
