Due to continued growth and success in winning more projects for our Infrastructure - Project Services business are on the lookout for a Quantity Surveyor (Contract Administrator) to join their high performing & inclusive team. These roles provide an exciting opportunity to progress your career with a market leading infrastructure company.

Depending on the individual project you will either support the Project Commercial Manager or work independently to provide efficient and effective management of commercial and contractual matters and active day-to-day administration of the head contract and any subcontracts placed on projects. Successful project delivery will be contingent upon your leadership and participation in the following key areas to achieve commercial outcomes:
  • Project Planning
  • Project Delivery
  • Subcontractor Management
  • Risk Management
  • Project Reporting
  • Project Close out

Please note: Regular travel to our Ormeau site is required.

About you

As the Quantity Surveyor (Contracts Administrator), we require 3+ years demonstrable and successful experience gained in a similar role, within Civil, Infrastructure or Building industry. Other essential skills & experience required:
  • Qualifications - Quantity Surveying preferred
  • Familiarity with standard and bespoke industry forms of contract and their negotiation and operative effects
  • Understanding of contract terms and conditions, variations approvals and recovery of claims
  • Awareness of project management, contract management, risk management and financial management principles utilised in the management of the project
  • Excellent commercial management skills including interpreting and applying contract terms and legislation provisions
  • Negotiation and influencing to achieve desired outcomes
  • Developed analytical and planning/prioritisation skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Australian construction and engineering contracts
  • Sound working knowledge of commercial management principles, project control applications, risk management and application of process.
