This senior leadership role provides effective leadership and management to the Compliance Assurance (CA) team, developing their capabilities and skills. The role will work with the Group GM Finance Services to develop and implement the strategy for the delivery of an effective and efficient CA operations model that supports the Groups planned growth strategy, whilst meeting the needs of Customers and key stakeholders. As a member of the Finance Services Leadership team, will contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans and business initiatives.

You will:-

• Lead the BSC Compliance Assurance function. Proactively facilitate a team culture of high performance and people engagement and apply a collaborative approach to working within and across other Downer teams. Optimise resource utilisation and scalability of services.
• Shape, develop and execute the CA strategy. Examine the BSC operational environment considering key risk process areas and developing the strategy to target compliance assurance activities based on priorities and risk.
• Develop people capability and engagement that enables strong operational delivery and supports business performance outcomes.
• Ensure appropriate and relevant governance structures, standards and processes are followed (The Downer Standard).
