Job Description:

Summary:

The person in this position will have primary responsibility in administering and supporting data and workflow processes for information in Barr's E nterprise R esource P lanning (ERP) system , Deltek Vantagepoint . This individual will be a member of our finance and accounting team and will serve as a Deltek Vantagepoint subject matter expert in company-wide system integration projects.

Tasks and responsibilities may include :

  • Tr oubleshooting systems issues and coordinating with stakeholders to resolve problems
  • P lanning for Deltek Vantagepoint enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • C oordinating with the f inance team for automation or enhancements
  • T esting new modules
  • C reating and delivering training materials
  • C ommunicating progress on continuous improvements
  • Providing end-user support for the system
  • Maintaining data integrity and security
  • Providing data and reports as requested
  • Creating moderate to advanced queries
  • Participating in data-intensive projects and initiatives


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or certification in a related field
  • Three years of system administration experience supporting f inance or other enterprise information systems
  • Proven knowledge and experience working with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases
  • Data stewardship experience specifically, maintaining and auditing data quality
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to p roactively recommend enhancements to information and process management
  • Strong client service skil ls, including ability to understand, educate, and build relationships with internal clients and vendors
  • Strong organizational skills including ability to confirm priorities with stakeholders and plan, monitor, and follow through on work commitments to anticipate, meet, or exceed client expectations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office a pplications such as Excel , Word, and PowerPoint
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
  • Acceptable driving record


Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of f inance and i nformation s ystem concepts and practices
  • Five or more years of system administration experience supporting f inance or other enterprise information systems
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Experience in SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Process and project management skills
  • Experience with Deltek products
  • Experience developing and delivering user training


A hybrid or remote work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office; a remote arrangement refers working primarily from a home office. T his position is based out of Barr's Minneapolis, Minnesota, office. Remote arrangements will be considered based on candidate qualifications, location requirements, and Barr's needs.

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $100,000. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus.
