We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our team. If you have a passion for environmental sustainability and a proven track record in environmental management, we encourage you to apply.

Qualifications (required for job) & Knowledge & Experience

Requirements:

• An expectation to spend time in the field
• Self-motivated, good communicator and a team member
• Fluency in Spanish and English
• At least 10 years' experience as an environmental professional in the mining industry

Experience in:

• The development of environmental impact assessments for large mining projects in Peru
• The identification of environmental risks and impacts associated with mine development
• The prediction and management of geochemical risks and related impacts associated with mining will be advantageous

Core Specific Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables

• Leading all environmental permitting processes for the company in Peru, including, but not limited to developing scopes of work and managing consultants, appointing and managing independent service providers, engagement with internal project teams, reviewing documentation for permitting and responding to authority's requests.
• Ensuring that all company plans and project activities in Peru meet statutory requirements and group expectations
• Engagement with external stakeholders including, but not limited to, environmental regulators, interested non-governmental agencies, project partners, environmental service providers and project consultants.
• Engagement with internal stakeholders including, but not limited to, company leadership, project development teams, other heads of department, corporate environmental staff and corporate environmental reporting staff
• Leading and managing the company environmental team
• Identification of environmental risks, impacts and associated controls for all current and future projects in Peru
• Planning and implementing all environmental monitoring activities accordance with statutory requirements and group expectations for all company projects in Peru.
