The Role:

Reporting to the Mine Geology Superintendent, you will work with a dynamic team to complete a range of geological activities including ore control modelling, ore mark outs, geological mapping and assisting in managing campaign style resource definition drilling programs (RC and diamond). You will also be involved in a range of projects including sampling optimisation, quality control and mine to mill studies.

About You:
  • Tertiary qualification in Geology
  • Demonstrable experience in mining (large open pit preferred)
  • Advanced PC skills and computer literacy, including experience with common mining software packages such as Vulcan, Leapfrog and production databases
  • Possess a strong desire to expand and apply your technical knowledge in the continuous improvement of the operation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with various stakeholders
  • Excellent prioritisation and problem solving skill
  • Competent knowledge and experience in sampling and grade control estimation techniques
