About the role

Our Cobar branch is seeking to grow its team of qualified and experienced Plant Mechanic's with multiple positions available.

Whether you are looking for a new challenge or wanting to relocate to Cobar, we are seeking a skilled and qualified Field Service Plant Mechanic to join our team. Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will be supporting our customers in the Western region of NSW, performing on site maintenance and repairs on a range of Caterpillar machinery.

Duties
  • Repair, maintain and service CAT machinery to ensure maximum productivity for our customers
  • Perform diagnostic assessments on CAT equipment
  • Liaise with customers and Sales representatives to provide product support and advice
  • Utilise CAT systems (SIS/ET) and provide information for service reports + warranty claims
  • Ensuring the safety of self and your teammates



Roster
  • Roster: Monday - Friday or a 7 on/7 off roster
  • Day shift only


Skills & Experience
  • Heavy Mechanical trade qualification (Cert III Mobile plant preferred)
  • Experience with Caterpillar (or similar) equipment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work autonomously in the field
  • Unrestricted drivers' licence
  • Post trade experience in mining, civil or ag industries & demonstrated diagnostic capability
  • Experience with DBS, SIS and SIMSI desirable
  • Dedication to maintaining safe work practices and environment
