About the role

Our Integrated Scheduling team is seeking applications from experienced Mine Controllers to join them based at our Remote Operations Centre (ROC) in PerthReporting to the Supervisor Control you will coordinate and optimise the movement of manual and autonomous mining equipment in and around the mine pit to ensure the extraction of material in a safe and timely manner.

Duties:
  • Ensure mine operations vehicle movement needs are addressed in a safe, timely and professional manner
  • Understand and follow the daily schedule from the Scheduler Mine Execution or Supervisor Control
  • Understand and follow the relevant emergency procedures, and provide assistance during an emergency management response
  • Coordinate work of mine operations in conjunction with the mine production supervisor
  • Monitor haul cycles for congestion and efficiency and manage the access of authorised personnel and vehicles in the AOZ
  • Assign load and haul equipment to mining locations
  • Perform route management activities, create, and activate routes, dump, stockpiles, and parcels
  • Manage production fleet and priorities to achieve daily targets


Skills and experience:
  • Demonstrated control experience using a mine fleet management system
  • Demonstrable mining experience
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to make strong stakeholder relationships
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, to meet deadlines
  • Evidence of working safely, understanding safety or safe systems of work
