We are constructing a state-of-the-art underground mine to enable the extraction of Polyhalite - a unique multi-nutrient fertiliser - along with the necessary infrastructure both above and below ground that will be required for transport, processing, and distribution.

POLY4 is our flagship multi-nutrient fertiliser product. Made from polyhalite, it contains four of the six macro-nutrients and many micronutrients that are essential to plant growth. It allows farmers to maximizetheir crop yield, increase quality and improve soil structure with one simple product.

Job Description

Join us a a Permitting, Environment and SHE Way Administrator to support the Permitting, Environment & SHE Way Manager and the wider Team in securing, implementing and complying with the essential Project Permits and Planning Permissions required to deliver the Woodsmith Project.
  • Provide direct support to the Permitting, Environment & SHE Way Manager in the delivery of their functional accountabilities.
  • Support the coordination of assurance activities to deliver compliance with Permits, legal obligations and relevant Group S&SD Standards.
  • Maintain and develop robust and traceable database records that demonstrate and substantiate the Woodsmith Project's compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all required data are received, uploaded and communicated in a timely manner, in accordance with Project requirements.
  • Assist with the collection, analysis, interpretation and curation of datasets relating to Permitting, Environment & SHE Way.
  • Support the development of documentation to comply with the Project's technical reporting requirements to internal Project and Anglo American Group stakeholders, external Regulatory Authorities and others, as necessary.
  • Manage environmental laboratory contracts, including logistics for sample collection, quality control, data entry and equipment maintenance, as necessary.
  • Responsible for coordinating meetings (and associated logistics) with internal and external stakeholders, regulators and authorities, maintaining accurate records and ensuring follow up actions are completed.
  • Manage the Permitting, Environment & SHE Way Team's Training Register and records.
  • Oversee the Permitting, Environment & SHE Way Team's Shared Calendar, including general organisational support and ensuring that compliance activities take place at the allocated time.
  • Support the process of acquisition, implementation and compliance with Permits, as instructed.
  • Manage the Permitting, Environment & SHE Way Continuous Improvement Register and Permitting Tracker to satisfy permitting requirements.
  • Responsible for the delivery of administrative duties for the Permitting, Environment & SHE Way Team, including (but not limited to) the collation, formatting and review of documents, as well as the disciplined organization of compliance files and records.
  • Utilise Anglo American's chosen risk management software to verify, track and report environmental incident data as instructed.
  • Manage the Team's travel arrangements and relevant expenses.
  • Support the Team's procurement requirements utilising the Anglo American's chosen Business Procurement Software.


Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Formal training and qualifications in an Environmental or Permitting discipline will be seen as an advantage.

Technical Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (or similar).
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar administrative function.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • IT literate.
  • Proactive and keen to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
