The Opportunity - Permanent, Full Time Position

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Principal Reporting - HSE, you will be responsible for preparing the internal monthly HSE reports and provide input for the annual external sustainability data book. In this role you will be familiar with reporting tools, such as Power BI and be proficient in preparing high quality reports. Using your knowledge of Sustainability frameworks such as GRI, OSHA and ICMM you will be analysing data and provide business guidance to ensure alignment to these frameworks.
You will be required to communicate effectively with people at all organisational levels, you will also interact with the Investor Relations and Sustainability Strategy teams for the release of HSE data at the half-year and year-end regarding sustainability disclosures and other pertinent issues.

Working within the Health & Safety Culture team and reporting to the Manager Internal Reporting, key role responsibilities include:
• Support, maintain and deliver a safe and healthy workplace culture that adheres to South32 policies and other applicable laws, regulations, and standards for the workplace
• Identify, design and implement improvements to the South32 HSE Reporting System including process automation and adoption of technology
• Design and execute HSE reporting processes to inform Operational, Lead team and Board on tactical and strategic decisions
• Provide advice and lead improvements for the Group in relation to the Risk and Event management system and South32 HSE systems
• Ensure the internal reporting standards are aligned to international external frameworks and South32 industry member bodies
• Lead the process to deliver the HSE data for South32's annual sustainability report and the associated reporting assurance activities

About You
• Advance Excel skills with the ability to analyse and visualise data with Excel
• Proficient in PowerBI with the ability to visualise data with PowerBI
• Previous experience in the use and configuration of business analytics & dashboard solutions such as Tableau
• Knowledge of Sustainability frameworks and the implementation thereof the resources industry.
• Previous experience maintaining and supporting HSE or Sustainability systems
• Proficient to expert user in Microsoft office suite, with advanced PowerPoint
• Advanced report writing and presentation skills
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with a natural abundance of energy, warmth, and genuine enthusiasm
• Highly collaborative, builds trust and respect by always acting with high ethical standards, objectivity, transparency, due care and professionalism
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, with the capability and desire to deliver "hands on" support with your team as and when necessary
• Advanced communication skills, including the ability to present results to technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven ability to work independently and unsupervised
• Highly self-motivated, results oriented, and delivery focused with a willingness and passion to drive improvement and innovation

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, HSE, Data Analytics, finance or similar
