Our Lihir operation in Human Resources is now recruiting for the position of Senior Trainer - Trades.

As a Senior Trainer, you will be a key contributor, coaching and enhancing the skills of Apprenticeship Trade Trainers through a Quality Assurance approach. Your role will be instrumental in reviewing apprenticeship curriculums to ensure alignment with NATTB standards and establishing robust audits, governance, and assurance systems for quality apprenticeship outcomes.

The preferred candidate should hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its PNG equivalent, accompanied by relevant experience. This includes the ability to conduct on-the-job observations of apprentices and their supervisors, ensuring they receive sufficient support and training. The role requires a comprehensive review of existing apprenticeship pathways to identify opportunities for enhanced productivity and the development of strategies to expedite learning. Furthermore, the candidate will play a crucial role in assessing risks to apprentice completion rates, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing necessary enhancements.
