About this role
Newmont is currently recruiting for a Group Head, Asset Management. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this individual will shape the strategy, integrated systems and frameworks for the asset life cycle, anticipating new and emerging technologies to optimize value.
Your role will consist of
Strategy/Governance
* Shape the strategy, standards, benchmarks, and programmes to drive a transformational shift in Asset Management (equipment and fixed plant) performance.
* Leverage the Operating Support Networks (OSNs) to develop a strategy and program to evaluate and plan for new and emerging technologies that place greater emphasis on data, automated key processes and prescriptive analytics, modelling using AI or other systems including probability analysis.
* Establish common equipment management life-plans, asset and fleet strategies and tactics, and life cycle models.
* Develop strategic partnerships with suppliers and professional providers.
* Integrate strategy and programs with mining and plant modernisation strategy and performance targets to optimise value and plan for future changes.
* Identify improvement, value risks, and set benchmarks and direction for best practice and in equipment and plant reliability and maintenance.
* Establish performance assessment/governance and reporting processes.
* Develop methodologies and manage the review of operational assets; structured reviews to determine condition and structural health, risk-based inspections, compliance to plan, delivery and that value maximisation is identified and managed. Identify and respond to all risks that might impact successful delivery.
* Input into short-, medium-, and long-term plans by life cycle projections and budgeting for anticipated operating and capital requirements.
Operations Excellence
* Support operations deliver optimal value by developing solutions for underperforming assets.
* Develop program and process for optimal shutdown cycles to create value through the life cycle of assets.
Safety & Sustainability
* Integrate process for risk evaluation related to technologies and equipment with necessary control measures in place to eliminate or reduce safety risks.
* Drive safety and sustainability improvements through deployment of new systems and technologies.

* Ensure appropriate cost estimations for development of capital, sustaining capital, and operating costs are estimated and monitor delivery.
* Oversee capital replacement profiles and future work and technological requirements.
* Refine replacement and procurement strategies to delivery risks and leverage opportunities for acceleration and/or cost savings.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $280,160 - $332,690. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance. This role also will be eligible for participation in a discretionary long-term incentive program, pursuant to which an employee may receive awards based on their level and individual performance.
