The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of 'Open Pit Mine Planning Engineer', for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will be reported to the Technical Services Manager of the Technical Services department in Skouries.

Main Responsibilities:
• Detailed short-term layouts including the required infrastructure from mid-term plans.
• Development of weekly and monthly tactical plans, communicating mine schedules and plans to all stakeholders, and ensuring their execution.
• Liaising with geology, mine operations, and other technical services groups to ensure that the appropriate designs are created, the tactical plan targets can be achieved and are aligned with the financial year operating plans.
• Updating and maintaining 3D CAD model of weekly and monthly plans, designs, and service requirements.
• Optimization of production through mine designs and production scheduling.
• Planning and administering daily mining sequences, including drill and blast activities and dumping location planning.
• Reconciliation of plan compliance and blast performances. Highlight deviations to the plan and identify opportunities to catch up or exceed the plan.
• Filling-in mid-term planning and other duties as required, and ad-hoc projects.
• Ensuring that waste dump and pit designs are effectively implemented in the field.
• Research data to support decision making and improve procedures, technologies, or methodologies.
• Contributes to the department's health and safety goals and objectives.
• Responds to safety concerns and/or unsafe conditions, and takes corrective action, or seeks assistance in doing so.

• Degree in Mining & Metallurgical Engineering or in Mineral Resources Engineering or in related field.
• A post graduate degree would be considered as an asset.
• At least 2 years of experience in mine planning, design and/or mining for mine operations, preferably in conventional truck/shovel open pit operation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English languages.
• Proficient computer knowledge of MS Office, Deswik and Autodesk Packages.
• Excellent organizational and decision-making skills.
• Problem solving skills and perform under pressure and deadlines.
• Driving License.
