The Mill Operations Field Trainer position is responsible for reviewing of training requirements, develop training content and supporting documentation (SOP, SWP), conduct training, maintain training records, and coordinate training activities
Rotation schedule will be an even rotation, 2 weeks on-site and 2 weeks off-site

The Mill Operations Field Trainer position is responsible for reviewing of training requirements, develop training content and supporting documentation (SOP, SWP), conduct training, maintain training records, and coordinate training activities

Reports to General Supervisor, Mill Operations
Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Ensure all MSHA standards and documents required are completed
- This position is responsible for the site orientation of all new Mill employees
- Ensure Red Dog Mine Site employees are provided with the necessary safety equipment to safely complete their jobs and that all employees are familiar with the operations' safety and operating procedures
- Facilitate field training using the developed training modules, while creating learning situations where trainees can demonstrate competency in advancing their knowledge and skills in areas
- Measure and evaluate trainee performance by assigning projects to trainees, conducting practice sessions and obtaining feedback from supervision as to trainee's performance after the training session. Assess operator to ensure training is tailored to their learning style
- Provide follow-up on all training facets by issuing evaluations, maintaining frequent contact with supervision, conduct on-the-job training of plant personnel
- Maintain a high degree of oral communicative skills to encourage the active participation of trainees
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Five (5) years of mineral processing experience
- Three (3) years of demonstrated operator training experience
- Demonstrated commitment to safety with working knowledge of MSHA standards preferred
- Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to present to individuals
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
- Committed to continuous improvement
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work well with others and have a professional demeanor
- Knowledge of all the major and auxiliary types of equipment used in Mill Operations
- Able to correctly evaluate trainee performance to ensure trainee is capable of operating safely
