About the role:
Reporting to the Planning Supervisor, the Maintenance Planner will be a key team member in developing, supporting, managing and controlling all aspects of planned maintenance work identified for the Processing Department.
To be successful, we are looking for someone with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. You would be self-motivated and can collaborate well with a team. The ability to multitask, prioritize contending demands and remain flexible and organized in a fast-paced environment is vital for success.

In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Manage work order backlogs for accuracy and details required to properly advance work through the planning process
- Scope all aspects of pre-job requirements, including parts, labor resources, permits, drawings, facilities, support equipment, special equipment and tooling, instructions, etc.
- Develop and maintain a 13-week maintenance forecast, focusing on equipment criticality, risk and proper work identification
- Maintain a long-term forecast and asset strategy plan for key equipment, components and major work
- Commission and decommission equipment and their maintenance programs
- Assist with the development and maintenance of cost forecasting, budgeting and analysis
- Maintain and continuously improve job plans and maintenance strategies, through analysis of previous work order history, soliciting feedback, collaboration with the engineering team, and field walk downs
- Track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of our processes and systems, bringing forth visibility and continuous improvement opportunities to the Maintenance Department
- Help manage stock levels for required critical onsite parts as well as setting new parts up in stock
Requirements
- A high school diploma along with a journeyperson's ticket or post-secondary degree/diploma in a related engineering or technical discipline is preferred
- Preference will also be given to candidates with previous supervisory, planning or scheduling experience
- Experience and ability to demonstrate skills with the Microsoft Office® suite, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems is considered an asset (preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX)
