YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

In this role, you will be reporting to the Senior Geologist and part of a close-knit Ontario Regional Exploration team that values practical thinking, strong project execution, and supporting each other to do our best work. You will be actively involved in creating and updating 3D models of historic and contemporary mines and exploration projects, developing early-stage resources to better justify exploration programs, turning data into decisions in real time.   • Own the development, maintenance, and validation of geological and 3D models used to support exploration targeting, and resource development initiatives.
  • Integrate geological, drilling, geochemical, geophysical, and spatial datasets into robust geological interpretations and modelling workflows.
  • Develop wireframes, domains, grade shells, and geological models that accurately represent geological controls and exploration results.
  • Support exploration programs through geological interpretation, target generation, prospect ranking, and evaluation of exploration opportunities.
  • Maintain exploration databases, modelling inputs, and spatial datasets to ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability.
  • Collaborate with exploration teams to improve geological understanding and support project planning, reporting, and technical decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development of modelling standards, workflows, and best practices that improve data quality and modelling consistency.
  • Prepare technical figures, maps, cross-sections, presentations, and reports that clearly communicate geological interpretations and project results.
  • Evaluate and apply new modelling techniques, data analytics tools, and technologies to improve exploration effectiveness and geological understanding.
  • Promote and support Agnico Eagle’s Health, Safety, Environmental, and Cultural standards across all activities.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Degree in Geology or Geological Engineering; postgraduate education is an asset.
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Geologist (P.Geo.) in Canada.
  • More than 5 years of mineral exploration experience, including field programs and diamond drilling.
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to interpret geological data and support exploration decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and optimizing geological modelling workflows, standards, and best practices for mineral exploration projects.
  • Experience building, validating, and updating geological wireframes, domains, grade shells, and 3D geological models in industry-standard modelling platforms.
  • Experience integrating large and complex datasets to generate geological interpretations, targets, and exploration recommendations.
  • Practical, solutions-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn, adapt, and take ownership.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Schedule: 8 days on, 6 days off.
    • Travel allowance is provided.
    • Accommodation is provided.
    • Based in Dobie, near Kirkland Lake, Ontario.


In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
