Redpath Australia is seeking experienced Underground Cable Bolt Operators to join our operations at Evolution Mining's Lake Cowal Underground Gold Mine in New South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a long-term project with a respected mining contractor while contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of underground mine development activities.

You will play a critical role in maintaining ground stability and ensuring a safe working environment for underground mining crews.

Redpath Australia is seeking experienced Underground Cable Bolt Operators to join our operations at Evolution Mining's Lake Cowal Underground Gold Mine in New South Wales. Responsibilities
About the Role
As a Cable Bolt Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of cable bolts and ground support systems to support underground development and production activities. You will play a critical role in maintaining ground stability and ensuring a safe working environment for underground mining crews.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cable bolting equipment safely and efficiently
- Install cable bolts in accordance with geotechnical and engineering designs
- Carry out ground support installation to required quality standards
- Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
- Mix and install grouts and resins as required
- Ensure compliance with mine plans, procedures and safety standards
- Identify and report hazards, incidents and equipment defects
- Work closely with engineers, supervisors and underground mining crews
- Maintain high housekeeping and operational standards underground
Qualifications
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous underground mining experience operating cable bolting equipment
- Experience installing cable bolts and underground ground support systems
- Strong understanding of underground ground support and geotechnical requirements
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence
- Ability to work effectively within a high-performing team environment
- Relevant mining competencies, licences and tickets
- Current Australian work rights
- Ability to pass site medical and employment requirements
