Carpenters - Mining/Civil

Guma-Warnii Seabreeze is a Pilbara Aboriginal Business that works in the Mining, Civil, and Construction industries. Guma-Warnii Seabreeze is the result of a valued and enduring relationship that began on Kuruma Country years ago.

Due to continued growth, we are currently manning up ahead of multiple project awards across WA, being Construction Projects on Mine Sites (Gold & Iron Ore). Due to the varied nature of the Scope in the Pipeline, we are requiring multi skilled Trade Qualified Civil Carpenters to deliver the projects efficiently.

Projects include Refurbishment/upgrades, Fit outs, Concrete/formwork, Detailed Earthworks and non-process-infrastructure related work. This isn't a role where you'll be on repeat with the same work, if you are the type of Carpenter who likes to keep a broad range of skills up to date, this will be for you!

Rosters are 2/1, FIFO Ex Perth, some flexibility on rosters may be required due to the nature of Client requirements and the Scope of work.

We can only consider Perth Metro and surrounds Candidates for this work, due to the onboarding and logistical arrangements that need to be made to cover multiple Clients and sites.

Your skills contribution to the success in the project will include:
  • Working within a small crew of up to 10 at a time, potentially moving across different Clients and Minesites
  • Formwork/Concrete experience, combined with General Civils experience
  • Demonstrated mine-site/construction experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
Requirements:
  • Rio Tinto inducted - Essential (BHP, Roy Hill, FMG advantage)
  • Available to commence within 4-6 weeks
  • Working at Heights
  • HR licence - preferred
  • Skid steer ticket - desirable
  • Excavator ticket - desirable
  • Other relevant plant tickets advantageous
  • 2-3 years post Carpentry Trade qualification in Mining enviro
