Position Overview
The Exploration Superintendent is responsible for leading the safe and effective execution of brownfields exploration programs in support of resource growth and mine-life extension. The role oversees geological, drilling, and technical activities while managing personnel, contractors, budgets, and stakeholder relationships. Working closely with mine operations and technical services, the superintendent ensures exploration programs are aligned with strategic business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational priorities.

Compensation
The anticipated salary for this position will be between $145,000 to $155,000. A comprehensive benefits program and performance bonus plan will also be provided. This is not a camp operation and therefore the successful candidate will be required to relocate to the Kamloops area or travel and accommodation will be the responsibility of the successful applicant.

Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Leading and mentoring a team of geologists and technicians, ensuring technical and professional development, and focusing on building a world-class exploration team;
- Own and execute exploration programs through strategic planning, managing, and supervising geoscience work;
- Responsible for scheduling of exploration crew and budgeting programs;
- Promote Coeur Mining values and Safety standards;
- Core logging and supervising core sampling;
- Drilling activities supervision;
- Manage and supervise remote reconnaissance and drilling programs;
- Technical support via data analysis;
- Geological modelling, and target generation;
- Preparation of quarterly and annual progress updates;
- Reporting of geological activities;
- Assisting and implementing programs in the following areas: prospecting and soil sampling, mapping, monthly reconciliation, land management, resource modelling and reporting;
- Day to day supervision and development of the personnel in the geology team.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following skills or experience:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in exploration providing expert technical competency
- Registered or eligible to register as a P. Geo in British Columbia, Canada
- Bachelors degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or Geology Engineering; MSc or PhD considered an asset
- Experience in brownfields or operating mine environments
- Excellent understanding of drilling techniques and practices
- Demonstrated experience in drill program design, geological modeling, and target generation
- Experience with permitting, community engagement, baseline studies, and managing remote exploration programs
- Demonstrated the ability of being a contributing team member, demonstrate strong ethical attitude, initiative and able to manage required level of responsibility
- Strong understanding of alkalic porphyry Cu-Au systems and implications for exploration success
- Strong proficiency with geological software (e.g., Leapfrog, Deswik, Vulcan, ArcGIS Pro)
- Strong leadership abilities in both exploration and production situations and experienced in supervising a geology group
- Strong proficiency in verbal and written communication and time management skills
- Experience in geological mapping, geochemical and geophysical surveys, data interpretation and geological modelling
- Experience with budgeting and supervision of a team of up to 20 people
- Ability to work as part of a team and possess the ability to keep abreast of developments in the field

- Successful completion of pre-placement functional screen
- Provide proof of a valid Class 5 driver's license
- Demonstrate eligibility to work in Canada
- Provide confirmation of valid educational requirements
