Jumbo Operator

The Byrnecut Group is a full-service underground mining contractor, providing services to major mine owners throughout Australia and Internationally. We operate a multi-million-dollar fleet of specialized underground mining equipment across multiple continents and conditions.

We are currently seeking applications from experienced Jumbo Operators – to join our project in Saudi Arabia on 6 weeks on 3 weeks off roster.

Reporting to the Underground Shift Supervisor, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Responsible operation of a twin boom jumbo drilling rig

Assessing ground conditions at the face and implement ground control according to site and safety requirements

Ability to read and accurately follow mine instruction plan with skill and precision Communicate with surveyors, geologists, and engineers to optimize drill patterns and advance meters

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Extensive 7 years’ experience in an underground mining environment with certification
• Extensive experience operating Sandvik DD321-40C Jumbo Drill.
• International Mining experience working in Africa, Middle east or Asia.
• Proficiency in decline and level development
• Proficiency in rehab work.
• A current passport
• A commitment to safe work practices
• Be self-motivated and willing to liaise and interact with local cultures
