YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor, you will be a part of the Mobile Maintenance Team! You will be responsible for aiding and assisting in the proper maintenance and repair, as well as performing preventative maintenance and operational safety inspections on all applicable equipment for the Detour Lake Mine.You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor, you will be a part of the Mobile Maintenance Team! You will be responsible for aiding and assisting in the proper maintenance and repair, as well as performing preventative maintenance and operational safety inspections on all applicable equipment for the Detour Lake Mine.You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Assist technicians in the shop and field as directed;
- Ensure all instruments, tools and work area are maintained in an appropriate manner;
- Handle various instruments and tools, assisting in maintaining all applicable equipment;
- Assist in performing mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on all mining equipment;
- Use various tools including hydraulic power units, torque wrenches and hoists;
- Identify and report part requirements and supplies as required;
- Prepare electronic service reports and documentation in an accurate and timely manner;
- Attend technical training as requested to ensure progression towards a trade certificate of qualification;
- Maintain a safe, clean and efficient work area.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Grade 12 high school diploma or GED;
- College Certificate and/or Diploma in the Mechanic field is considered an asset;
- Mechanically inclined with the aptitude and willingness to learn;
- Experience working in a mechanic helper or similar role preferred;
- Computer literate;
- Focused on self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills;
- Able to function in a rotation schedule in a remote camp location.
Work Schedule:
- 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine Site;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada
